Experience the trip of a lifetime!
Rising 11th and 12th graders and newly graduated high school students will be selected to join the YMCA of Northern Colorado Global Leadership Program. Monthly leadership and service-learning projects culminate in a two-week trip to Peru in the summer.
Students will participate in leadership training workshops and service-learning projects in the community in the spring. Workshop topics will include cultural competency, service vs. charity, trust and teamwork and basic cultural lessons. We’ll also do a team building day at YMCA Camp Santa Maria in Bailey, CO.
During the Peru trip, all students will be accompanied by trained professional YMCA staff who will be available 24/7 as well as staff from the Peruvian YMCA to help with local logistics.
